Banana Cake Recipe

Directions:

1-Preheat Oven:
– Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.

2-Prepare Dry Ingredients:
– In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

3-Mix Wet Ingredients:
– In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
– Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract and mashed bananas.

4-Combine Mixtures:
– Gradually add the flour mixture to the banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk, starting and ending with the flour mixture.

5-Bake the Cake:
– Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
– Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
– Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

6-Prepare the Cream Cheese Frosting:
– In a medium bowl, beat together butter, cream cheese, and vanilla extract until smooth.
– Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until the frosting is fluffy and spreadable.

7-Frost and Serve:
– Spread the frosting over the cooled cake.
– Cut the cake into squares and serve.
