Creamy Pork Chops and Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:

    • 6-8 pork loin chops (boneless or bone-in)
    • 6 russet potatoes, peeled and sliced
    • 2 cans (10 ounces each) condensed cream of mushroom soup
    • 1 can (12 ounces) evaporated milk
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons onion soup base (1 package of Lipton onion soup mix)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Fried onions for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, evaporated milk, water, onion soup base, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Arrange the sliced potatoes in the bottom of a greased casserole dish.
  4. Place the pork chops over the potatoes.
  5. Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the potatoes and pork chops. Top with fried onions if desired.
  6. Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to allow browning.
