Directions to Make Sausage & Gravy Biscuit Pie:

1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the sausage. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
2. Sprinkle flour over the cooked sausage and stir well. Cook for 2 minutes.
3. Slowly pour in milk while stirring continuously. Increase heat to medium-high and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, sage, and optional red pepper flakes.
