Here’s Why Buying a Rotisserie Chicken from Walmart Might Not Be a Good Choice

One person on Reddit said, “Sam’s rotisserie chickens are much better than Costco’s rotisserie chickens every day.” However, Walmart has an advantage in one area—the amount of salt in their products. A 3-ounce portion of rotisserie chicken from Walmart has 690 mg of sodium, a bit more than Sam’s Club with 550 mg, and Costco with 460 mg. Whole Foods has a rotisserie chicken that is low in sodium, with only 280 mg of sodium in a quarter of the chicken. This is a good option for people who need to limit their sodium intake.
