Here’s Why Buying a Rotisserie Chicken from Walmart Might Not Be a Good Choice

When it comes to Walmart’s cooked chicken, you might want to think twice before getting another one. Although the cheap price might seem attractive, especially when it’s on sale, for $4.98, you will only receive slightly less than 2 pounds of chicken—specifically, 1 lb. 13 oz. Why choose something smaller when you can get a bigger bird for the same price at Sam’s Club or Costco?

Even though Sam’s Club is owned by Walmart, the products they sell are different. A bird from Sam’s weighs 3 pounds, the same as a rotisserie chicken from Costco. Both size and flavor are important factors to consider. Some reviews on Walmart’s website are positive while others are negative, with customers complaining about chicken being cooked too much or too little. On the other hand, Costco always gets the best scores in taste tests. Costco’s very tasty rotisserie chicken is the best, while Walmart’s is the worst.
